ZELIA Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830: 314. Type species: Zelia rostrata Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (= Dexia vertebrata Say, 1829), by subsequent designation of Coquillett, 1910b: 621.

METADEXIA Coquillett, 1899: 220. Type species: Metadexia tricolor Coquillett, 1899, by monotypy.
EUZELIA Townsend, 1915b: 23. Type species: Zelia wildermuthii Walton, 1914, by original designation.

gracilis (Reinhard, 1946).– California to Texas (S&A, 1965).
– Minthozelia gracilis Reinhard, 1946b: 56 (junior secondary homonym of Dexia gracilis Wiedemann, 1830; not renamed while Dexia gracilis is in synonymy with vertebrata Say, 1829). Type data: holotype male (SEMK). Type locality: USA, New Mexico, Cloudcroft.


metalis (Reinhard, 1946).– Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina (S&A, 1965), British Columbia, Texas, New Brunswick (CNC).

– Metadexia tricolor Coquillett, 1899: 220. Type data: lectotype female (USNM), by fixation of Townsend, 1939b: 79 (mention of "Ht male" from Shreveport is regarded as a lectotype fixation; specimen is female, not male as cited). Type locality: USA, Louisiana, Shreveport.

– Gymnodexia zonata Coquillett, 1895a: 315. Type data: holotype female (MCZ). Type locality: USA, Florida, Jacksonville.
