Genus Platymya Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830

PLATYMYA Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830: 116 (also subsequently spelled Platymyia, unjustified emendation). Type species: Platymya aestivalis Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (= Tachina fimbriata Meigen, 1824), by subsequent designation of Robineau-Desvoidy, 1863a: 191 [Palearctic].


confusionis (Sellers, 1943).– British Columbia to New Hampshire, south to California and Massachusetts, also District of Columbia (S&A, 1965), Yukon, Northwest Territories, Ontario to Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, also Pennsylvania, Tennessee, North Carolina (CNC), West Virginia, Virginia (WVU).
– Aplomya confusionis Sellers, 1943: 86. Type data: holotype male (USNM). Type locality: USA, New Hampshire, Franconia.
