CERACIA Rondani, 1865: 221 (also 1865: 49). Type species: Ceracia mucronifera Rondani, 1865, by monotypy [Palearctic].


dentata (Coquillett, 1895).– British Columbia to Ontario, all United States, Mexico (S&A, 1965), Québec, New Brunswick (CNC).
– Acemyia dentata Coquillett, 1895a: 311. Type data: syntypes, 4 females (2 female syntypes in USNM, one with abdomen missing, and 2 female syntypes in MCZ). Type localities: USA, Florida (Georgetown), Alabama (Mobile), California (Los Angeles County).
