XANTHOERNESTIA Townsend, 1926: 39. Type species: Xanthoernestia antennalis Townsend, 1926, by original designation.

antennalis (Townsend, 1926).– British Columbia, California, Utah, New York, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Georgia (S&A, 1965), Mexico, Alberta, Ontario to Nova Scotia (CNC).
– Xanthoernestia antennalis Townsend, 1926: 40. Type data: holotype female (USNM). Type locality: USA, New Hampshire, base of Mount Washington (on flowers of Anaphalis).

labis (Coquillett, 1895).– British Columbia to California and New Mexico, also Ontario, Vermont (S&A, 1965).
– Nemoraea labis Coquillett, 1895d: 104. Type data: holotype female (USNM). Type locality: USA, Washington.
