Genus IMITOMYIA Townsend, 1912
HIMANTOSTOMA Loew, 1863: 320, 321 (junior homonym of Himantostoma Agassiz, 1862). Type species: Himantostoma sugens Loew, 1863, by monotypy.
IMITOMYIA Townsend, 1912a: 49 (nomen novum for Himantostoma Loew, 1863).
SASKATCHEWANIA Smith, 1915a: 153. Type species: Saskatchewania canadensis Smith, 1915 (= Himantostoma sugens Loew, 1863), by original designation.
sugens (Loew, 1863).– Oregon to Saskatchewan to Michigan, south to California and Colorado (S&A, 1965), Alberta, Ohio (CNC).
– Himantostoma sugens Loew, 1863: 320, 321. Type data: holotype male (MCZ). Type locality: USA, Illinois.
– Saskatchewania canadensis Smith, 1915a: 153. Type data: holotype male (USNM). Type locality: Canada, Saskatchewan, Farwell Creek.
