plagioides Townsend, 1891.– California, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas (S&A, 1965).
– Goniochaeta plagioides Townsend, 1891b: 352. Type data: lectotype female (SEMK), by fixation of Townsend, 1939a: 329 (mention of "Ht female" is regarded as a lectotype fixation for female syntype dated June 10; male syntype dated July 10 not located in SEMK). Type locality: USA, New Mexico, Las Cruces (on flowers of Aster spinosus).
