APHRIA Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830: 89. Type species: Aphria abdominalis Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (= Tachina longirostris Meigen, 1824), by subsequent designation of Robineau-Desvoidy, 1863a: 767 (as longirostris, with abdominalis in synonymy) [Palearctic].

georgiana Townsend, 1908.– Georgia (S&A, 1965).
– Aphria georgiana Townsend, 1908: 68. Type data: holotype female (USNM). Type locality: USA, Georgia.

ocypterata Townsend, 1891.– British Columbia, Washington to Québec and Maine, south to California, New Mexico, and Virginia (S&A, 1965), Yukon, New Brunswick (CNC).
– Aphria ocypterata Townsend, 1891b: 361. Type data: syntypes, 1 male and 1 female (SEMK). Type localities: USA, South Dakota, Brookings, and ?Minnesota.
– Aphria occidentale Townsend, 1908: 68. Type data: holotype female (USNM). Type locality: USA, Colorado.
